ABOUT CRESCENT CITY CLASSIC TRAINING PLANS
Founded in 1979, the Crescent City Classic brings close to 20,000 athletes to take part in this 10K race on the Saturday before Easter. Custom Training Plans offers a customizable Crescent City Classic training plan for runners of all levels. The Crescent City Classic features a scenic route that runs through the streets of New Orleans. This fast, flat, point-to-point course starts in front of the Superdome and runs through the French Quarter past Cafe Du Monde and the French Market. The course continues down beautiful Esplanade Avenue to New Orleans City Park. The remainder of the course takes place inside the park, passing by Storyland before finishing just before the New Orleans Museum of Art, where a cheering crowd awaits. Because the course features almost no elevation change, the Crescent City Classic is a great race for runners of all abilities, particularly when you train using a CTP Crescent City Classic training plan.
