Once the Bloomsday course crosses Latah Creek, runners will begin the first climb – a short, intense hill followed by another, more gradual elevation gain. Just after the halfway point, the course descends back down to Meenach Bridge and the Spokane River.
The second half of the race isn’t a cakewalk, though. Immediately after crossing the river, runners face Doomsday Hill: a monster gain of 150 vertical feet in under three-quarters of a mile.
