Since 2003, runners have gathered in California's Wine Country to take part in the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon and 5K. With entries capped at fewer than 4,000 runners, you'll want to train right if you've managed to gain entry into this challenging, yet rewarding half marathon. The Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon is run on a scenic point-to-point course through vineyards. The route begins with a large hill, but it’s the only hill of size. The rest of the course is relatively fast – after the first hill, the elevation changes aren’t too dramatic. These smaller hills roll on until mile 10, where the 5K course merges with the half marathon course and the route flattens out all the way to the finish line.
