The San Diego Half Marathon has it all: five miles of waterfront, four historic communities, three beautiful parks, two miles through downtown San Diego, and one epic Gaslamp finish! The course couldn't be more scenic and fun. Get ready for an amazing day of racing from our friends at In Motion Events.

Capped at 5,000 and 1,000 participants, respectively, the San Diego Half Marathon and 5K provide a lively, but not-too-crowded event. For the lucky racers able to gain entry, the late-March race means perfect running temperatures and conditions. The half marathon courses is done as one big loop, with the start and finish near the same place and maximizing bay views, city views, and Balboa Park views. The 5K starts and finishes in the same place as the half marathon, but focuses on those bay and city views.

With a custom training plan, runners can be confident to hit their goals at either of the San Diego race distances. This could mean finishing the race with a smile, setting your personal record or even trying to win the race.
